A Festive Telugu Wedding with the Gorgeous Bride - HARSHINI REDDY

WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING, THE WHOLE UNIVERSE CONSPIRES TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

It was so serendipitous how I saw her on a LinkedIn recommendation. It’s truly a dream come true to be able to find the company I would enjoy on a social network. It took a lot of courage and had to put aside any pride/self-respect aside in an effort to chase her, fortunately, I got her interested in a few conversations which laid the path to our first meet after about a month of texting and talking..

“SHE IS BEAUTIFUL, TALKATIVE, CHEERFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SMART AND A BIT CRAZY AND I WAS LAZY, IRRESPONSIBLE, TARDY AND SANE. I DEALT WITH HER INSANITY AND SHE DEALT WITH MY LAZINESS AND THAT’S HOW WE ENDED UP WITH EACH OTHER”.- NAVEEN

A Stunning Traditional Telugu Wedding to kickstart 2020 - Telangana Style Wedding

Whilst the wedding had a lot of modern elements, it was important for Harshini & Naveen to incorporate their traditions and cultural heritage.

They wanted each event to be very different. Harshini coupled things she loves with traditional elements and made the wedding unique to who they are as a couple.

The wedding begins with the first line of mehendi, the happiness of bride is lit up, as life takes new colors for her.

The Pellikuturu Ceremony

When the gorgeous and beautiful bride gets ready for the pre wedding rituals before the wedding day and look how stunning she looks!!!

The pre wedding ceremony of the bride to be, is anointed with oil and turmeric before bath, and is presented with new clothes. Look at the ravishing princess, all set up and ready for the ceremony in the same old genda phool décor but in absolutely …

Mangala Snaanam

This holy bath before the wedding day is more of a fun affair with a mix of rituals. Once done with it, the stage is all set for the wedding. Look at the details of everything from decor to dress its jaw-dropping and inspiring ideas for others….

You just can’t get through the big day with out the squad, rocking poses and getting that SWAG bang on, She had a wonderful team - | Harshini !!

As they say nothing can make a woman look more beautiful like the glow on her wedding day !! she was just charming and confident as if no jewel can dominate her smile.

Adding sparkles to the special moment, jewelry is the perfect spice that tells the story and keeps the memories alive whenever we glance at them. Harshini your jewelry was very unique and beautiful, we bet people have loved it.

Indigenous Rituals

The wedding doesn’t get that traditional feel until these native rituals of crushing turmeric in a stone pestle and blending rice grains with color and making them into, so called “ Talambralu ” is done.

Happiness was all around the place, there was no face without a smile on it, everyone was laughing, cracking jokes and were soo caught up in the moment, the wedding vibes were just awesome and everybody were truly happy for the couple.

You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes or their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.

Happiness is the most appealing thing you can wear on your wedding day, with butterflies and a belly full of dreams, getting ready in anticipation of the magic moment that comes only once in a life time is very gratifying and apart from that, looking the best on your big day is a must.

Elegant is the only word we found to caption this. With all the ornaments on her, Harshini was looking absolutely stunning and no one could take their eyes of her, even we shared their joy by capturing the happy family when their faces were filled with smiles after seeing their little princess all adorned up like a queen.

THE GROOM # NAVEEN
Sharing your happiness will always enhance it and when you have your entire family with you, there is no limit of how many times it may multiply, Naveen was glowing and confident, we were very happy for him and watching their parents showing their love and his mother caressing him was a very striking scene.

“It wasn’t certainly a walk in the park, we had our share of very serious fights but some magical force got us back together.”

The party doesn’t start until the bride appears, here comes the bride with her dramatic entrance, she was radiating beauty, as everyone was waiting for this moment, Harshini when entered suddenly there was a festive environment, it was a wonderful instant.

|| DAZZLING DÉCOR !!

The decorations were very alluring and with the beautiful and traditionally themed canopy in the backdrop and with everything extravagantly decked in gold, this traditional telugu wedding was loaded with everything without any setbacks.

KANYADAANAM

As a part of wedding rituals, the girl’s family now gives her way to the groom’s family, watching and capturing these moments of both joy and a feeling of sorrow in the bride’s face is just inexpressible.

JEELAKARRA BELLAM | THE STICKY BLESSINGS |

There is no more ME, from here on its all about US - here comes the moment where the couple promise each other, that they will support and be with one other both in times of joy and sadness.

The Bride and Groom apply an inseparable mixture of cumin seeds and jaggery called Jeelakarra Bellam on each other’s head, the mixture is both sweet and bitter, symbolizing the way life goes.

“ MANGALASUTRAM ” TYING THE KNOT

It symbolizes a promise that they will be together until death separates them, the three knots is an expression that represents the strength of their union physically, mentally and spiritually.

& TALAMBRALU

Talambralu is rice dyed with natural colors, Jyothulu are lamps made from rice flour, sugar and milk which denotes abundance, sweetness, and light, these are representations of how their new life must be.

This part of the wedding is always fun when the bride seeks the blessings from the boy - We always hear some crazy sounds from friends & cousins with a weird smile on the faces that can be witnessed…This one was classic.

Saptapadi

As we take our first steps together, let’s be inseparable throughout the life, like the knot tied to our clothes and be for each other forever. Saptapadi or seven steps are what the couple takes together, in this ceremony the brides saree and the groom’s dhoti are tied together at one end in a knot.

Appagintalu

The moments of pure love shown by everyone as the bride gets ready to leave to her new home maybe this is the ceremony, that gives us once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the unconditional love shown by our parents. Capturing these moments as she says bye to her family was overwhelming.

The Bidaai………. An emotional moment between the bride & the parents…

To the new beginning….

NAVEEN (In his own words) - I don’t have that fear of making a mistake or taking a risk anymore with her around me, I feel safe that she got my back and confident that she is capable of helping me out of that trouble. She was there to guide me through my troubled times in the last few years and I hope to keep that support for the rest of my life.
